Kumasi, Ghana, 30 September 2022: In a colourful ceremony held today in Kumasi, Ashanti region, the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) graduated 150 Competency-Based Training (CBT) teachers (facilitators) from the various colleges of education and technical universities in Ghana.
Accra, Ghana, 2 August 2022: the University College of Agriculture and Environmental Studies (UCAES) located at Bunso in the Eastern region of Ghana, today, hosted a graduation ceremony for 591 learners from the Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ATVET)’s Competency-Based Training (CBT) Course in Oil Pam Value Chain.
As part of efforts by the Government of Ghana and its Development Partners, especially the German Development Cooperation, to improve the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector, the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) has officially been launched on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, by the Education Minister, Dr.
A day’s conference of Women in Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) has been organized in Accra by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) in collaboration with GIZ Ghana through the Ghana Skills Development Initiative (GSDI IV, on the theme; “Promoting Inclusive TVET, the Role of Women.”
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED)
GIZ Ghana has been awarded by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), an agency under the ministry of Education as an outstanding Development Partner during the 2021 TVET Awards which was held as part of the Closing Ceremony for the 2021 National Skills Competition and TVET EXPO.
As part of efforts by the Government of Ghana and its Donor Partners, to ensure that a demand-driven and robust labour market skills intelligence system drives the implementation of TVET Strategies in the country, a secretariat for the Sector Skills Bodies of Ghana has been established for the bodies to operate from.
