N.V.T.I. Pilot

 

Background

The Pilot Training Institute is the first training institute established by the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) in 1970, after the enactment of the National Vocational Training Act, ACT 351. The institute was to provide both formal and informal training and retraining in employable skills to the youth and any other person desiring a skill.

Brief History and Background

Ada Technical Institute was established in September, 1982. It is a co- educational institution with a population of about 769 students pursuing diverse technical and business programmes.

ATI believes that every individual student has a natural talent and flair for Vocational / Technical skills development. As a result wide ranges of career programmes are offered by the institution to enable the individual make a choice for training.

INTERNATIONAL NEEDS VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE (INVTC)

Background
INVTC is a private, all female vocational institute owned by International Needs Ghana (INGH), a non-governmental organization. INVTC operates under INGH, which was registered under the Registrar General’s Department in October, 1987, under the Company’s Code (Act 179), number 33,476.

 

Vision
INVTC's vision is to provide graduates imbued with the requisite technical and vocational skills, and attitudes to confront the challenges of the business world.

 

ST. THERESA CENTER FOR THE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED

Background

St. Theresa Center for the Physically Challenged Abor, is a voluntary and non-profit making Organisation depending on the Catholic Diocese of Keta-Akatsi to cater for the welfare of the physically challenged in the Society. It was built by late Rev. Fr. Angelo Confalonieri, a Combonian missionary from Italy who worked in favour of the less privileged in the Volta region. The centre was commissioned officially on the 29th April 1989 by Lt. Gen. A. Quainoo.

HISTORY

The foundation stone of Kpando Technical Institute was laid by the first President of Republic of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkromah on 23rd April 1955. The Institute was officially opened for teaching and learning on 22nd Mach 1956 with 70 male students and 8 teachers. The Institute began with 4 (four)programmes.

 

FATHER DOGLI MEMORIAL VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL INSTITUTE

BRIEF HISTORY

Father Dogli Memorial Vocational/Technical Institute is a Government assisted Co-Educational Institute absorbed into the public system formerly under the N.V.T.I in 2003, but currently under the Ghana Education Service.

It was established in 1997 by the Roman Catholic Church in the Jasikan Diocese to educate and equip the youth with employable skills.
